The report is executed individually on A4 sheets on one side of the sheet or on double expanded sheets of the student’s notebook. The report should be neat, legible handwriting without using abbreviations, except for commonly accepted symbols. Reports made on a computer are not accepted, with the exception of the title page.
The report is drawn up according to the following scheme.
Experimental part.
The purpose of the work (given in the guidelines for laboratory work).
1. The title of the experience.
1.1. Course and data of the experiment.
The description of the course of the experience is given in several sentences, and it must be taken into
account:
– equation of the reaction under study;
– reaction conditions (concentration of substances, temperature, etc., paying attention to the constancy of these parameters or their change);
– stages of the experiment (excluding rewriting the instructions for performing the experiment from the manual to the report).
– the observed result (color change, precipitation, gas release).
For example, the sequence of presentation may be as follows:
“to observe the dependence… we use the reaction of interaction…”
“Reaction conditions: tº = const; C = const; changed according to table.1. “KIO3 Na SO 2 3 C

” the Result (reaction time or some other parameter) was recorded by the appearance of a blue color of the solution (discoloration, appearance of gas bubbles, etc.)

1.2. Data Calculation and analysis.
Give the calculation formulas in General form, if necessary, specify the sequence of their transformation, and make detailed calculations, taking into account the dimension of the values to build the graphical dependence. For rules of plotting charts, see
in Appendix 2. Give answers to the questions raised during and at the end of the experiment.
In data analysis, you should:
– establish the nature of the observed relationship;
– find out the reason for the observed dependence;
1.3.Conclusion.
This is a short message about the result with elements of generalization. The dependence established in the experiment on the example of a specific reaction is presented in the conclusion by
generalized concepts. For example:
“The dependence (the nature of the impact, operation, etc.)…”
“It is shown that…”
“The results of the experiment are consistent (confirm etc.) with the theoretical
regulation (law, principle, rule, etc.).”
Answers to test questions given at the end of the report. Task conditions
are not rewritten, and responses are given according to the standard scheme.
To insert images, tables, or diagrams into your lab work, you need to bring them all to the same size and appearance. If this applies to the table, then all of them must have the same line thickness. The font in the tables should also not differ.
If you insert images in a lab report, they absolutely cannot be of different sizes. All reporting work must contain images of the same type.
As for charts or other graphical elements, as in the case of tables, they should not be completely different. If you have used a pie chart once, use it throughout the report.
The report on the completed laboratory work must be submitted at the next lesson and is a necessary, but not the only condition for protecting the topic of this laboratory work.
